LPG tanks with capacities of MC. 10 and 12.5 can be buried directly without formwork, as they are coated with two-component epoxy-polyamine paint with very high dry residue, applied hot, for a final film thickness of no less than 500 microns, applied after careful sandblasting to almost white metal SA 2.5, according to UNI EN ISO 8503, and equipped with an adequate cathodic protection system.
The cathodic protection system has the function of grounding the tanks.
The system is designed to achieve maximum efficiency and durability, so that the system operates regularly throughout the expected life of the Mg anodes.
Normally the expected period is about 20 years, after which it is sufficient to replace only the anodes.
